1st Sighting of a Sandhill crane at Shorewalk on our Pilot Pond

 

Today, during our Beautification Committee's Coffee & Cake event, one of our members happened to look out the window and see a pair of Sandhill Cranes. They were walking along our 1st year planted Pilot Pond. The Sandhills leisurely walked along the bank, crossed the road & proceeded   along to another pond. We hope to continue to see more native birds! Our restored ponds are thrilling us every day as the plants continue to proliferate and flower!
