We're thankful and honored to have been accepted to participate in the Sarasota Bay Partners Grant Program.  

Our pilot project (SP3) involved the planting of native plants on the perimeter of one of our six retention ponds with the goal of habitat restoration and water quality improvement.  Faced with the challenges of being a seasonal community we recognized that community involvement was our biggest hurdle.  

With the creation of this blog, we hope that individuals who find the www.Shorewalktalk.com will increase their understanding of how any property owner can make an environmental impact. Please join our Shorewalk journey of increasing awareness of the variety and benefits of native plantings for where we live and implementing a native planting theme into landscaping.
