We are approaching the 1st anniversery since the Pilot Pond was planted. The native plantings were challenged with Hurricane Ian, extreme flooding and they ended their 1st year with a long drought. Happily, today a Little Blue Heron was busy searching for food in the expanding Jointed Spikerush.
Great to see a few surviving Duck Potato plants on the littoral shelf- one is flowering!

The Pickerel Weed is more abundant and starting to show new growth and expansion. All are sure to flurish once the summer rains begin!
